3o3 phanklab - is definitely the
best group in Hungary (just take a look at the number of girlmembers!).
it was formed because of the oldskool tb303 is being more and more
commercial.
they'd like to kick some commerce ass. memberz adore tb303 and songz
made of that.
paow pohpow.
[10 feb, 1999]
absolute! - poko joined as
beer supplier, scorpik rejoined (he left the amiga scene in sept'96)
though he resume composing on pc.
access control - this new group
comes from the Neumann J. high schol, Eger. they'll planning to release
a 64kintro at the scenest'98. the groupmembers are loki, tomasm, iceman,
mr hardcore, viper and two graphicsmen (koxy and mulder) at the moment.
[13 jan, 1998]
andy - andy left contract
and joined rhyme - the group with that unique atmosphere.
[20 jan, 1998]
anima sound system - most of
you might know, that this band made a remix-contest on the
internetto.hu webzine.
at their site
you can dowload the "top ten" remixes - including the work of 4 sceners,
like carlos, illegal, hp/manka coop, and trajic (as zonik trip :). go and
get them!
[13 may, 1999]
anorganik - this guy creating
underground (mainly jungle, house, etc) tunes is on his way to support a great carreer
later! one of his tunes was played in tommyboy's line-up in the tilos
radio, and it seems to be 1oo% sure that he's going to take part of the
future sound of budapest 2 compilation; this compilation will
hopefully inherit the first album's freshness and progressivity in Hungary's
musical scene.
[14 jan, 1998]
ansi/ascii compo - those
few people who are interested in ansi/ascii art should check out the
#demoscene channel's compo. the rules can be grabbed from the
demo.dyn.ml.org site.
[23 nov, 1998]
astral - these guys (ex-unicorn
membahz) are working on their first demo planned to be release at the
scenest'98. their musicdisk will be 1oo% surely ready by that time.
[5 feb, 1998]
astral, contract - edo left
contract and joined astral as graphician.
[9 june, 1998]
astral - they're working on a
new, great demo. arpi, robson, strepto are working on the code (arpi makes
the asm optimalization, so it should be faster than their demos before).
it's planned to have mainly 2d effects with some 3d, and it's gonna be
rather a feelingdemo than an effect-slideshow (hopefully ;)
[8 dec, 1998]
astral - are still working hard
despite of the changes! the current memberlist is: arpi [code], strepto [code],
immortal rat [graphics], phuture chemist [music], sherlock (nothingman) [music],
towerx (music). the group has just started a new demoproject.
[4 mar, 1999]
astroidea - the freestyle#9
is out!!! you gotta know this one! get it from the
d-eyes
ftp archive.
[21 oct, 1997]
astroidea - they plan to open an
astroidea group homepage.
[4 july, 1997]
astroidea - genesis,
trajic, tsc (ex-shock! members) and seaky joined. the group released
the demo 'overdriven' at the rage'97, where it became third.
later, at the antiq'97 they won the democompo, and were very successful in
other compos, too. rendall released a great slideshow of his artworks,
in coproduction with reptile; this production is entitled 'splinter'.
later rendall won the assembly'97 gfx-compo.
[4 july, 1997]
azure/dilemma - he has left
his other group (byteway). dilemmaonly mode is now set.
[19 jan, 1999]
basq - the veteran of the scene
is back! he's planning to release his long-delayed tune called
"olomkacsa" (leadduck) which one rocks ;) (imho, ofcoz)
he might join a group in the near phuture, but no info will be
available about it while things are not cleared up.
[13 nov, 1997]
bassline project - died
due to inactivity (as always...) most known members were: dj szasza,
brooklyn, bevasoft and skoofy. they might release a "last musicdisk",
but it's not 1oo% sure.
[26 mar, 1998]
beach boyz - this new musicgroup has already
released tons of tunes (most of the tunes can be downloaded from
ftp.scene-hu.com).
they've kicked nana out of the band because of inactivity.
the members (dj miska, dj petee, fecosz, mc d'yurie)
are always waiting for fanmails from cute girls to their common address,
diszkocsaszar kukac nospam usa.net.
they often have live acts at the local disco, and are waiting for more invitations
from any other clubs.
[29 sept, 1998]
beach boyz - not only grif,
but beach boyz is also on the net! dj petee has just made an informative
homepage about the one and
only active (and the best!) musician-group in Hungary!
worth checking! get all the releases of bb from their past and
in your future! cute girlies should drop some cute mail to
diszkocsaszar kukac nospam yahoo.com!
catch beach boyz live at your local hightech entertainment centres!
in some weeks they're gonna have live acts at klinika mozi and
at the world's best ölveti disco!
[27 jan, 1999]
beach!boyz - this
musiciangroup is getting more and
more popular. today all of them (
dj miska,
mc d'yurie,
dj fecosz,
dj petee),
took part in the "szólarádió"
in one of its programmes. it's called debreceni skizo and is a kind
of talkshows, having great topics,
like "building a mountain in Debrecen", "collecting money for
esmeralda's eye-operation" (you may heard about it on the tv),
"what disasters would make Debrecen more popular", and so on.
radio tilos is
also supporting skizo with reissuing the whole line-up.
anyways, beach boyz had a tv-interview shown last week in the Debrecen TV,
so they really seem turning the best managed scenergroup in Hungary :)
[23 mar, 1999]
beep - this "multi-platform"
(c64 and pc) artlabel was established by carlos/mandula, generic/exact
and reptile/astroidea. they're going to release a great musicdisk containing
.xm and sid tunes at the jumper'98. you can get some more info about the
group at carlos's page (which is
an authorized beep fan site :)
[25 nov, 1998]
beep - though their musicdisk
was planned to be released at the jumper'98, they had a short delay...
but it's ready now! it has a win95 interface, and ofcourse stunning
musics from carlos/mandula, generic/exact and reptile/astroidea.
you can download it from the
ftp.scene-hu.com
archive. it's also upped to the
pigforce.ml.org site.
[7 jan, 1999]
black rainbow - fjano
joined the group. they'll release a demo and the 10th issue of the
interway diskmag at the flag party
(maybe at scenest). they're looking for
coders, gfx-people and tracers.
[14 jan, 1998]
black rainbow - they're planning
to contribute at the scenest-rage with a demo (cyber ride), plus some gfx
and zax.
[1 apr, 1998]
black rainbow - they're
going to release a 3d demo soon, it's entitled e- (electron).
[8 dec, 1998]
black rainbow and greenroom coop -
the black rainbow and the greenroom kru are going to work together on
their next prod, a new demo. the credits are gonna look like somehow like
this: immortal rat - gfx, nagz - music, tomcat - objects. as tomcat
said, greenroom's gonna kick some azzez!
[14 sep, 1999]
bigfoot - he stopped his
scene - activity due to his work, chicks, and some other reallife (brr...)
- related things; he is told to be fed up with the fuckeries in the
lamerdemos towards him - but as he said on irc, it's not true, this is
not the main reason for leaving, since '<...>lamerdemos make you
famous', he noticed ;)
[14 oct, 1997]
booster - virtual imagines
released the next issue of the booster diskmag, you can get it from the
d-eyes archive.
[27 jan, 1998]
cache party -
the organizers had just released the
UNinvitation, get it!
[19 nov, 1997]
cache party - cancelled!
as usual, there were problems with the partyplace (it's told that it was
antionius' mistake). it might be held in the spring of 98, but it is not
1oo%...
[12 nov, 1997]
cache 98 - there were a lot of
organizing mistakes at the party, so lot of problems came together...
one of the two projectors was stolen. one could do
it easily, since it was left unguarded in the comporoom - now the organizers should pay
approximately 1,500,000 HUF (around 6,500 USD) for the
projector.
right before the compos somebody (unknown) has put a
password onto the compo machine, and after taking the lithium-battery
out (to have the bios-password cleared), the motherboard went wrong.
it took lotsa time to get a new motherboard to work.
the two module-competition (techno and "classical" compo) had
56 modules (!!!) together, so it was veeery boooooring (10-10
should give the same results with better prejurying).
one of the tunes was simply erased from the compomachine
after prejurying the contributions (it was presumably not an organizer).
since the composer worked a lot with his tune, he might also want the
tune to be available to the public, don't he?
typical organizing mistake, that d-lee was allowed again to
prejury the tunes. he should be really very far from anything that
is in connection with any compos (and it's not only a personal opinion).
one of the winning-expectant wild demos (a videoclip) was
put into wrong category during voting - it was handled as fun demo (you can
check it in the results-file).
what is even more strange, that it was given 0 points... and this production
is not the only one that got less points that it was given.
ofcourse it's great to have a party, so let we send a thanks to the
organizers. but they also have to work much better -
since the attenders always work a lot with their releases, and they
would like to have the contributions fair-play competed.
[12 oct, 1998]
cache '98 - the organizers
released a new, fixed resultsfile,
which seems to be better than the partyversion, but who knows :)
[13 oct, 1998]
castrum doloris - this new team
was established by leaderc (music), morhith (music), aries (swap/ascii),
the doominator (trace/code), guillotine (trace), bluedragon (graphic).
the group is still looking for talented graphicians and coders, who would
like to join - just drop a mail to aries/cd!
[8 dec, 1998]
carlos musicdisk - there's
gonna be a brand new musicdisk from carlos, released on 01-01-2000.
it's title is "giant steps", and is gonna contain cca. 50mins of
quality music (half of them are unreleased!) prepare to get it!
[15 dec, 1999][carlos]
chrome - net (coding) left the
group. as he told, he might change even his handle in the phuture, too.
[27 oct, 1997]
chrome - they're going to
release an intro (moon) at cache (if cache's going to be held)
[2 oct, 1997]
chrome - they were about
to break up, but fortunately the problems were solved, and after the demo
'plastik' (released at scenest'97) they kicked some asses again with their
4k which was contributed at the antiq'97. it contains realtime tb3O3
emulation, and is very great!
[22 aug, 1997]
chrome - is alive and
kicking! tsc joined chrome as coder and net is doing his coding job
in the group too. since plastik was voted as the best hungarian demo in
a diskmag, they've decided to take part of the scene again!
chrometracker is in progress, and an intro/demo (?) will be released
soon (maybe at the scenest again?).
[27 jan, 1998]
chrome -
still in the business. they keep the silence about
the team, because their coders are busy working on game programming
projects, but the art section is still up - atx/enok/kci.
they're working hard on a new and very serious wilddemo project.
[13 may, 1998]
chrome - to make everything clear,
the current memberlist is atx, enok, kci and net. net is coding again.
they're going to rock at the cache'98 party with their second demo, moon,
and are planning to release a wilddemo few months later. it's title's
gonna be metropolis ("that'll be somekind of artistic movie
featuring some deep thoughts" - atx/chrome). except it at
scenest/rage(?)'99.
[05 oct, 1998]
chrome - they did not release
moon at cache'98 autumn. it will not be released until it is not
perfect. it should be expected at the winterest party. enok won again in the ansicompo (at cache, ofcourse). he also wanted
to release a pixelgraphic, but the organizers did not give a number to the picture,
so noone could vote for that. this one will be released later again; maybe at the
jumper'98.
[12 oct, 1998]
chrome - they've finished their
demo called moon, but they will release it only next year,
at the the contest'98 party.
[17 nov, 1998]
chrome - enok/chrome became 3rd
in the handdrawn gfx (pixel) compo at the III. kindergarten '98
party with his picture entitled "what the f kukac nospam #*...?". congratulations!
[23 nov, 1998]
chrome -
they did not release their new production called moon yet, but they
announce the new project,
an artdisk of the most popular hungarian pixelartist and hobby-musician enok!
the title and the details are classified yet...
[5 jan, 1999]
chrome
- the new demo - moon - did not compete at the
contest'99, because of a
projector failure (that simply could not show it, and was capable up
to 75hz only). for the good news:
trueman joined us and he is the second coder of the team! moon will be
released in a more compact form at the
scenest hopefully.
[3 feb, 1999]
chronomatik tushis - is the
name of this new group, which is replacing area51. there are four
members in the group: laud, nap, fanthomas and arn, who are sceners studying
at the szif (tushis = the united sceners hardcore in szif).
the overdoze - series (demoshows at the szif) will also be organized by
this group (overdoze 4 is comin' up, around '99 autumn!).
they are also planning a cooperative 4k intro work to the next Hungarian
party.
[29 apr, 1999]
cli -
the newest, fifteenth issue of Hungary's leader diskmag, cli is out!
this is the first mag in Hungary including three different covers :)
(tomcat's great 'army adventures'
article-series are also included in the mag!)
so get the mag! use either civitas.hu or
thot.banki.hu.
you can also contribute with your own articles, just send them to
cola/micropyle.
[2 mar, 1999]
cli -
cli #18 is out! as always, it has grown both in the number of articles
and their quality! you can get it from
ftp://www.civitas.hu/Uploads.
[10 sep, 1999]
c3000 - you can still buy
your very own conference 3000 t-shirt! just check the details at
the afterparty page (hp.pardey.org/c3000)!
[1 dec, 1999][scene-hu.com]
c3000 - the party is over,
but it's page is still alive! the staff had dropped together an
afterparty-page, you only have to point your browser to
http://hp.pardey.org/c3000!
[23 nov, 1999]
contract -
they've solved all their problems in the group, and they continue their
active work. volumer 2 (musicdisk) is in progress; illegal is planning
to release a democd the end of november to start up in commercial
business (good luck, fellow!). he's gonna work in England
to get some money for the musical carreer.
[11 nov, 1997]
contract - they've released the long awaited
volumer#1 musicdisk. the musicdisk, and other contract products can be
downloaded from the d-eyes.jpte.hu archive.
anyone can apply for a tune for using in his own productions; there are four
musicians in contract: illegal (xm,mod), jabberwock
(it,s3m,mod), kolchky (xm), zooley (xm, mod).
they are going to release a demo at the rage party (code: andy, cubie;
music: illegal) and another one at antiq (code: aron; music: zooley (it's not 1oo%); gfx: x-tro/fauve)).
contract - they're making a 64k
intro to be released at the cache97. the machine is going to be under
cubie's control, the visual part'll be dun by xtro, and the audio
experience gonna be zooley's work.
[27 oct, 1997]
contract - volumer 2
(musicdisk) is coming soon! zooley is planning to make a 64k intro, but
... lack of coding activity, yaknow :)
[20 oct, 1997]
contract - they've got
two new members! dines, a pixel graphician from France and nasty, as
musician from Germany just joined. 'waiting for their productions!
[6 jan, 1998]
contract - another news from
contract is that morgan (was a criminal gang member) and stonee joined,
both of them are coders. morgan was quite inactive in the last years (due
to his groups inactivity mainly), but hopefully he will continue his
quality work again!
[19 jan, 1998]
contract - the group has been
reorganized! 5 of the fourteen members were kicked out, 9 are still in
the rings... members, who left contract: dines, dr.astic, kolchky, porus
(all of them were inactive), illegal (leaving the scene, commercial
activities). now the actual members are: archee, aron, cubie, morgan
(coders), nasty, rian, zooley (music), myrel (trace), tr (organizer).
[26 aug, 1998]
contract - there was a refreshment
in the group... therefore laud/emperor and sb/remal joined contract,
both of them are coders - so the work goes on and on! stay tuned, and
get the upcoming contract releases in the future!
[20 oct, 1998]
contract -
finally, aron had some time to finish the win32 version of the contest winner
intro "(independent) love bong". hopefully it supports every
directX-compatible video and sound hardware. also the music was remixed by
zooley. download cnt-wbng.zip from the known sites!
[1 mar, 1999]
contract -
one of the next works will be probably a Direct3D-demo in
blasphemy/prone/purple-style. the scheduled party is scenest-rage or antiq
depending on some very important personal occupation. contract is looking for
stylish background- and texture-drawer persons. the ideal applicant should
adore "louis lane" and "velvet deluxe"! post your previous works to the next
address: gombasa kukac nospam almos.vein.hu!
[1 mar, 1999]
contract -
kvazar (musician) joined the group.
he's only in contract now! other good news:
tr has just moved to
Budapest!
[23 mar, 1999]
controlled dreams - james
baud (musician) left, and joined liquid sounds.
[10 nov, 1997]
controlled dreams - they're working
on a 64k intro for the rage'97, and they might release a demo for the antiq'97.
controlled dreams - they're
dead. tomcat is in the army now, he's gonna stop his scene activity
(except his book, called freax). zola and gitane established the
Hungarian section of defect (a group from Poland). other members
weren't too active in this group.
here comes the list of the people who were members of the group: worf,
james baud, artist, (tr), gaf, thrax, wolf, zola, gitane,
sliver, bigfoot, kexos, and zso.
"rest in peace, controlled dreams. 1995-1998"
[26 feb, 1998]
crash orchestra -
jabberwock and ainu established this group; jabber as musician and
keyframer, and ainu as musician.
their plans are:
1) ainu wins the competitions; 2) jabberwock dogs ainu's footsteps
3) will cooperate with lot of people 4) will give tunes/3ds scenes for
anybody who needs.
[26 feb, 1998]
crash orchestra - this young
group has just died... ainu sold his machine, but jabberwock still
works for anyone who needs it (tunes, k-frames)
[22 mar, 1998]
crimson jihad - ratman joined.
they're going to release a real crimson jihad lamerdemo (maybe at rage'97).
they're still on kicking up dust ;)
demoshow - back again with the demoshow
in Gyôr! arn, laud (the area51 team), sotesz and tomcat
are the organizers of the event, which will be held on 26 march, 1999
and will take 3 hours. the place is Gyôr, Széchenyi István
Fôiskola. more details can be gathered from the
invitation!
[18 mar, 1999]
derceto - he left unicorn, and joined system
halted. he's developing a game nowadays.
demoshow - there's going to be
another demoshow at the Széchenyi István Föiskola.
the projection will start on March 27 (Friday), at 19:00pm in the D1
audiotorium, and will take one and a half hour (demos and 64k
intros will be shown). this event is organized by
arn and
tomcat/abaddon.
[17 mar, 1998]
dfj - halleluja,
friends and brothers! dfj has recovered from his illness!
no more liquid sounds from his little nose, congratulations!
;)
[16 jan, 1998]
dimenzió - the new issue
is out! it's about drugs in general, and is entitled "Kábulatban".
it's placed at the nostromo
archive.
[2 mar, 1998]
dinasty - they're planning to
release a demo at flag, or kernel.
[20 oct, 1997]
dinasty - sidha joined dinasty
as graphician, now he became doublemember, since he's still in exact,
too. dfj is ill, he got cold. poor, poor dfj :)
[9 jan, 1998]
dinasty - they're going to
release a demo at the scenest - rage megaparty. corpse, tomika, ludwig,
sidha, pain take part in the creating of this contribution.
dfj is still waiting for your
articles and votes for the fleur#2!
[30 mar, 1998]
dinasty and dilemma - the new issue
of fleur (no#2) is going to be out soon! check the
scene-hu site
for the release!
[24 nov, 1998]
dödöm tím -
wiktor left the group, 'cos he got bored of other members' inactivity.
the rest of the group (actually 5 members) will hopefully active.
they have a mailing list aiming at the spreading of the releases.
it can be subscribed by filling a simple form in their
homepage.
dave has finished an own electronic book about terrorism. you can
download it from
ftp://d-eyes.jpte.hu/pub/dodomtim.
(size: about 3mb) (7 megz pure text, when unpacked!)
[15 july, 1997]
dödöm tím -
the team is dead due to lack of time to work for the scene.
[1 dec, 1997]
echoes of exceed - this
subgroup of exceed including musicians has finally ended its carreer
on 31 dec 1997. in exceed (demogroup) only deansdale and imode are the
musicians, and was kicked out somewhere in august 1997.
not all of the dudes left want to continue tracking and/or scene activity
due to other activities (university, mainly).
anyways, if you wanna contant anyone of them, click on the names:
firemage,
new c,
nm.g,
s..n (balazs) (only phone: +36-94/320-328).
d-lee bro can only be found in exceed and ipartelep now.
[7 jan, 1998]
euthanasia - has been disbanded.
[7 apr, 1999]
exceed - gakko and koke were
kicked (left :), but react/gyroscope joined as a coder.
[8 oct, 1997]
exceed - they have a new
member, manka in the group. she's a musician - the first Hungarian
girl scene-musician! we only need a codergirl in order to form the first
spice girls crew for the scene :)
anyways, exceed seems to be the optimal choice... exceed = hawaii + girls
+ sunshine... by the way, d-lee is heavily looking for an aliencoder from
the outer space to have the group completed ;)
[7 jan, 1998]
exceed - goon (graphician from Croatia) left the
group, 'cos he established an own company. his
last picture was released in
1994 to the scene, therefore he wanted to make a comeback in 1997, but
due to the reason mentioned, it did not work.
now matarazzo (graphician from Sweden) joined as graphician. he seems
to be much more active than goon was.
other news from the group is, that they'd like to stop their bbs activity,
so no more exceed releases will be put to their distros. they think,
that due to the internet the world of the bbs-es remain only in the
background. the group has been started to create their homepage, they
hopefully will finish that soon.
[26 mar, 1998]
exceed - they've had a
great meet
at shaman's place. n.n.s., react, szali, warpig, dinnye, deansdale,
manka, d-lee,
(all from exceed), teo/biohazard, hyp-x/mandula, xtro and cranx
(both from rhyme), and
shaman took part of it. exceed wanted to make a demo to mekka'98 called
"spot", but they didn't finished it in time, but they had additional
releases to the party (tunes, graphics).
the feeling was very great, as d-lee told, but you can read a small
report about it.
[20 apr, 1998]
exceed -
they won the wild competition at evoke '98 (the second biggest
party in Germany) with their demo entitled freefall (the party
was held in Germany, Aachen). you can download it from
scene.org
and scene-hu.com. (it is 66 Mb, but is really worth to watch) Imode became the 5th in multichannel, and Warpig the 6th in the gfx competition
on the party.
they made the 4th issue of the world's favourite chip musicdisk, emissions,
in cooperation with ethos 9 and tokyo dawn records.
it will be out in one-two weeks, the final touches are on the way now.
People like Assign-Mefis-Pirat-Optic-Falcon-Amove-Velvet/Tdr, Edge/EMF,
Dharma, Jogeir Liljedahl-KeyG-Radix-Unreal/Pulse, Virgill, Distance/Orange,
Netpoet, Skaven/FC, Vim/Mono, Traven, Farmer, LoneWolf/Nocturnal,
LordChaos/Kolor, Deansdale/Exceed, Fusion/Quasar, Dynamix-Heretic/Destiny,
Mercure/Slkmd, Vegard-Darren-Laxical/Scoopex, Hunz/Five Musicians,
Tito-Thor/Tpolm, ... and much much moore will be appear on the disks.
Prepare Yourself!
[29 sept, 1998]
exceed -
the era of this succesful and effective group since 1996, ended. this
crew plan a last demonstration called "berlin". not only exd members will work
on this production, but their friends worldwide will present and help too. the
release date isn't fixed yet, but they really want to do their best.
latest bunkerravers were: baste (art), d-lee (organising), deansdale (music),
imode (music), nns (code), react (code), shaman (music), ts (art), warpig
(art). some of them will leave the scene, others only the group. maybe you'll
hear about them in the future again, but with a totally new image and style.
[19 jan, 1999]
excess; the smirnoff squad -
therion/excess left the group (excess is dead now), then he joined
the smirnoff squad.
[22 oct, 1997]
exhumers - they're looking for a good
gfxman. your examples should be sent to woland/exhumers.
fasttracker 2.09 - yes, it's
here! it's unofficial yet - but it supports your gus pnp at last!
it was only an internal version of starbreeze, waiting to be released.
you can download it here!
thanx to witchcraft for the notice!

james baud - happy 20th birthday!
baud just had a small birthday party last weekend (18 april) with the
following people: james baud (ofkoz :), atx/chrome, nicron and jump
from autopsy, lorenzo/darkside, basq/tsi, andy, cranx, trajic and xtro
from rhyme, dfj/dinasty, and some non-scener. the feeling was great:
the mystic zsiR!nation memberz ate some kg-s of zsiR!oskenyer (xtro/rhyme
upgraded it with some onions), and put hundreds of zsiR! tags on
baud's ladder.
the jungle/drumandbass tunes comin' from tha speakers made xtro+cranx
dancing in the living room. we also had a great experiment while
listening to an interview made with james baud in radio danubius.
he was asked to tell some words about the iRC: "you can choose from
hundreds of channels with nearly any topic - for example teenporn, and
so on." well, that's right :)
in brief, it was great - waiting for the next one, guy!
[20 apr, 1998]

marketing director of this brand new label, established by the
well-known dj, jutasi. they're going to release quality tracks from
talented Hungarian techno-musicians (no matter if acid jazz or trance is
your style, if it's good).
their first attempt is a mix-album - Honfoglalás -

by hamza "all-star" péter, also known as

loop! - their first wilddemo
was the "silence" at the scenest'96. now they've finished their second
work, entitled "freefall, the zero gravity". 8 minutes of full trace
combined with stunning demoeffects. it was done in one year (3ds4.0, max;
coded in asm; resolution is 640x252 on a 640x400 screen).
the coder - ketchup - wrote a new compression routine (1:12 compression
rate) it was used for the final version (without compression the
demo would take cca. 654megz), now the compressed size is 71mbytes.
the trace is the work of warpig, music is written by shaman, additional
code by robson/unicorn, additional modelling by majestic.
[8 jan, 1998]
loop! -
warpig (graphician) left the group, and joined exceed.
the three members remaining in the group decided to create a musicgroup
having the same name (loop!).
[16 feb, 1998]
loop! - it was formerly
mentioned as a musiciangroup - which was not true, as some members
of the group told. this group is finally broken.
warpig went to exceed, robson joined astral, excessive is still
independent (but since he's told to be a talented musician, he surely
will find a group soon). shaman may leave the scene finally, unless
he finds a quality group to join in (as he told, he's tired of
group organizing). the rest of the group were totally inactive...

the guy below.
[25 may, 1998]

this demo should come out at the contest'99 party.
the newcomers group also has a homepage

[15 dec, 1998]
newcomers - they're not dead, just
forming... some inactive members were kicked out, so the current

magnetic (music), sese (music) and yogi (code). they're looking
for an active tracer and/or graphicman.
[10 feb, 1999]
newcomers - this promising group
has also died. magnetic joined inquisition, but
abcug! stopped his scene-activity
(there's no info given about additional members).
their last work is a 64k intro to the mekka party, but
unfortunately it was not entered. instead of it the creators (abcug!, ezah, towerx)

but it might be delayed to rage. there are three members in the group
this time, bred (coder), vil (musician) and mokia (tracer).
they're searching for a graphician, who should contact
bred for joining.
[24 feb, 1998]
rg42 - this new group wanted to
debut at the scenest'98, but due to their coder's (bred)
lack of time, it's been delayed to the rage (which was also mentioned
before).
[25 mar, 1998]
rg42 -
releasing of their newest demo, "FiBbe", is delayed again...
it seems that this demo - featuring full 3d voxel engine, special
tunnel effect, and much-much more - will be shown first in 2000
(in Hungary or even abroad). if you are a graphician and would like to
help the crew, just drop a mail to rg42 kukac nospam swi.hu!
[29 oct, 1999]
rhyme - intro project started stop
release date not decided stop secret art members are xtro and trajic stop
gekko/cls is guest coder stop
[13 jan, 1999]
rhyme - just to precede rumours
about ripping ideas, rhyme would like to make things clear.
besides the hidden and/or secret projects, rhyme has started
a demoproject - "budapest" - about half year ago (collecting ideas, etc).
the basic idea came from cranx and xtro while having some holiday
last summer at Siófok (june 1998).
all the well-known members of rhyme are interested in this project, but
some outsider will also take part of it. the demo would be released
at the assembly'99.
[20 jan, 1999]
rhyme -
rhyme are making a cooperative
demo, called cuberoot, with some members of the astroidea.
the credits looks somehow like this: mrz/astroidea + picard/rhyme + reptile/astroidea = code,
xtro/rhyme = logo/3d/video, trajic/rhyme = soundtrack.
it will hopefully be finished before the
contest'99.
[20 jan, 1999]
rhyme - inferno is the newest
member of rhyme. he's a very talented graphician, formerly worked for
astral. he seems to be very
active (inferno and xtro had already finished a cooperative truekolor
graphic. anyways, xtro thinks that the style of inferno is very valuable
and will soonly be leader - even outside in Hungary).
the official, current
memberlist of rhyme is:
cranx (code),
illegal (music),
inferno (graphic (3d/2d)),
murphy (code),
picard (code),
trajic (music),
xtro (graphic (3d/2d)).
[15 feb, 1999]

[10 sep, 1999]
seymour cray foundation
bigfoot/exact, flex/relentless, lord/impulse, tomcat/cd - they're going to
establish the seymour cray foundation; its aim will be to support
the scene. as first act, they'll make a party instead of flag'97.
scene foundation - as most
of you might already know, some sceners' have decided to create a
foundation. the main organizers of this project are:
aboy/d-eyes,
dfj/dinasty,
james baud/magnesium_diskprodukts^liquid_sounds,
trajic/rhyme.
the first, main aim was to have the www.scene.hu domain name
registrated (since the domain name registration requires an existing
company/ltd/etc.). another idea came a little bit later: this
foundation might be powerful enough to find sponsors for parties, and
can be very helpful for the scene.
now we need YOUR help. our first problem is, that establishing a
foundation has a very huge cost (varies from 41,000 HUF to 120,000
HUF ($200 to $580) depending on the lawyer...).
naturally, noone of us has this amount of money.
if YOU think, that you would like to support the Hungarian scene foundation
(please, SUPPORT IT!),
send your money contribution to James Baud through snail post.
Most of us sent 2.000 HUF, it seems to be a bearable amount, but you can
ofcourse send more or less, it depends on you.
Baud's address is: Rach Richárd, 1092, Budapest, IX., Ráday u. 22, fsz/4.
(in Hungarian: elveszel/kérsz egy csekket a postán, amin pénzt lehet
küldeni. Kitöltöd, beállsz a sorba, befizeted a pénzt, és ha Baudnak
megjött (a pénz :), akkor bekerül a (k)alapba. Most előre is nagyon
köszönjük).
it's very important for us, please think it over, and support your scene!
ofcourse firms and companies are also welcome!
[22 may, 1998]

[7 jun, 1999]
SCeNeST - ok, ok, i know, that
it should be only in the parties section, but it's very important...
so the scenest'98 is DELAYED from 3-4-5 March to 3-4-5 July, due to
some reasons (detailed here [Hungarian]).
[26 mar, 1998]
shaman - he's planning to release
a final work on the scene - a musicdisk. there'd be 7-8 songs (.xm)
in it (including his cache'98 contribution). the graphics'll be done by
warpig/exceed, and the code will be robson's or react's work.
this disk is gonna be released at the rage'98 party.
[24 mar, 1998]
shock! - is finally dead. rest in peace,
amen. tsc (coder) and genesis (coder) joined exact, later astroidea. deansdale
joined exact and echoes of exceed, true and kal joined astroidea, trajic joined
astroidea.
the reason was a person in the group who was always cheating, etc., so he
didn't fit in the group. this way the group's lacked appreciation, and it
lead to the break. " shock! - nem vesz el, csak atalakul! "
slengpung - you can find a great
online scene gallery at www.slengpung.com -
don't miss it!
[3 apr, 2000][arcane/royal^mystic]

(all the electronic music styles are accepted, including
house, techno, drum and bass, bigbeat, etc.)
people contributing from Hungary will have the choice to work in the
soundstudio of the spacefarm label, using sampler, synth, hd recorder,
effects).
the address you want, is: Spacefarm, H-2890, Tata, Veres Péter u. 34 (Hungary).
phone number: +36-34/380-843, illegal's e-mail address is
illegal.diak.mutf kukac nospam mutf2.mutf.hu[29 apr, 1999]

terror news - it is told, that the terror
news #80 is going to be the last issue released ever. reason is unknown

he joined astroidea. he's working in cooperation with kal/astroidea on
a compopicture for rage'97.
trajic/ai -
in the summertime i could not reach the net often (twice in the two months
altogether...), therefore the homepage (and my mailing, too) stopped.
this way i'd like to sorry to all my friends for having no answer for a
while from me. all the corrections, opinions and advices you sent, were
used to rebuild the homepage. keep on sending those mails!
[15 sept, 1997]

one year of my membership there, and changed to rhyme. now rhyme consists

minblowing tune. credits: artist: poko (singing!), music: eyebrow and
ern0, lyrics written by poko and ern0, while vocals came from eyebrow,
raize and ern0.
the tune itself was entirely done in the live act studio (Nyiregyhaza).
you can get this amazing tune
here! while getting the stuff you should check out a photo
of poko & atya!
[14 jan, 1998]

elkepzeltem, hogy hogy fog kinezni, van par idiota rangatozas egy kis
3dvel meg idozites is lesz szerintem :) maskor is iszom masfel liter bort
aztan maskor is csinalom az introt :)"
for non-Hungarian readers: this short story describes how a... well...
drunken coder thinks over the idea of a new intro - there's also a
promise about alcoholism in the future, heh ;)
[20 jan, 1998]

zonik trip - trajic/rhyme (hm,
that's me :) has managed to get one of his tracks released
under the name zonik trip on the Hungarian House Only 3
album (the title of the track is 'ruffcut').
the cd is produced by one of Hungary's most famous houselabel:
oxigen music, and is spread by bmg ariola.
previous albums always had very great success after releasing; it must
be enough to mention tcx (just the hacker) or sonic age
(delight, pink panther) who made their carreer this way.
after prejurying tons of house demoworks, the final tracklisting of the
album is ready; you can get your own cd at your local recordstore from
September!
[28 aug, 1998]
