Doomsday's second more or less serious demo, Boost, is showcasing some really good 2D and 3D routines. Especially the 2D effects are great, and the 3D effects are what you could expect of a demo from 1997, and then some. It has amongst other things some bumpmapped 3D scenes, and there are also many 2D effects mapped onto 3D objects. One cool thing is a giant Lego-man with a 2D effect on his chest. The soundtrack is by the dynamic duo Swallow & Illusion, and it's a great techno track. The demo could have done with some more design, and maybe some more 2D graphics, but all in all, a production to be proud of.
